Ready Now.......Early Golden Plums........Vanier Plums........Raspberries

Come and visit our six acre orchard planted with a combination of Heritage and contemporary fruit trees.   We offer an old fashioned U-Pick experience at our picturesque century old farm.

This century orchard was established in 1845 by the McClymont family and was one of several orchards planted in this area at that time.  Today, it still remains one of the few orchards with roots dating back into the 19th century.

The orchard is located on a pinnacle of land just far enough from Lake Huron to escape most of the killer frosts of spring and is also protected by a cedar windbreak to offset the winds the lake can offer.  The entrance has 50 evergreens that cover the driveway which leads you to another 15 hardwoods surrounding the farm buildings.

There are several varieties of fruit  in the orchard.  The harvest begins with cherries then plums, followed by apples, more plums and pears.   All this bounty starts in July and finishes sometime in late October. We offer several varieties of fruit not sold in supermarkets any longer as well as common varieties that are familiar to most.

The orchard is situated 1¼ miles south of the Hamlet of Varna,  5 minutes east of the lakeside village of Bayfield and just 25 minutes between the Lake Huron resort towns of Goderich and Grand Bend.  The orchard can be an added experience in planning your weekend or day trip to the beautiful western shoreline of Huron County.  We provide a peaceful country setting and encourage you to bring your family, take your time, and enjoy a natural part of rural Ontario in Huron County

If picking can not be included in your plans we offer fruit already picked that can be purchased along with other fruit products.
